Dealing with difficult people?

1. Conflict Resolution in the Work Environment

If you have ever had a volatile situation and didn’t know what to do, or had to give difficult feedback or if you have ever been in a situation when your customer or colleague is just being damn difficult this seminar is for you. We will look at 10 conflict management styles and their positive and negative aspects. This seminar is fun, practical and structured strategies to deal with a variety of situations. This seminar will look at ways to slow down conflict situations so that positive outcomes can happen. Learn to be focused on procedures and systems rather than personality so that we can defuse volatile situations.

2. leadership and motivation

What sort of leader are you? We are all motivated by different things. Because we are all different as managers it is important to identify what motivates us but also what motivates our workers as individuals and to enhance performance by turning that key. As a manager we need to be able to speak the language of our workers so that they feel part of a team and create a culture of success. This seminar looks at some of our great leaders, what they did well and what we can learn from their style. Good leaders know how to motivate their workers and use their skills to stimulate, encourage and lead.   Any planning whether it be for an individual or for business must have a place to start. The Success Tree model is a way of thinking about your goals, to identify strengths, establish SMART Goals and actions that will achieve your goals.

By using the individual as an example to teach the principles this model can be used in any area of business. It can be used for performance reviews, career development and departmental planning. It is particularly useful in small business.
