Is what I say private?

Every person is entitled to his or her privacy.

What you discuss with our professionals is confidential to The Tui Centre Ltd.

An exception to this is if the counsellor has good reason to believe that you are at risk of hurting yourself or someone else. If this is the case, they will discuss with you what they are concerned about and keep you informed of any other process they need to undertake. This may include talking to other professionals e.g. Mental Health Team, Doctor or to Whanau/family or supportive friends. At all times the counsellor will endeavor to keep you informed of who they are talking to and why. You are also entitled to see your file or have copies of documents if you request them.

You are entitled to be treated with respect and openness. It is important to us that you receive excellent service and care when you see one of our counsellors. If for any reason you are not satisfied with the counsellor you are seeing or have any concerns please talk to our staff or contact:

Monique Knight, Manager

Phone: 09 443320
